A/C compressor wiring question

I went to my local parts store to look at purchasing a new compressor because my old one seized up the other day. The guy said that there is a 1 wire and 3 wire version and I was curious as to which one would be applicable to a 2002 Si(Canada). I don't have mine apart yet which is why I'm asking. I have a busy week ahead and I want to have the part in hand for when I get some free time.

How to KNOW for certain: Unplug the wire connector from your compressor.
How many wires are in it?

(Or just grab a flashlight, locate that connector and look at it. You don't really need to unplug it to count the wires.)

Yes, I had the that much on my mind. It's just hard because it is at my shop which is 30km away and I am vehicle less. I was just curious if anyone would be able to tell me on here so I didn't have to find a ride or take a taxi.

Re: A/C compressor wiring question

All I have is USA market info.
An 02 EX USA market car (same as Can. Si) should have the 3 wire unit.
I can't be sure your Canadian market car is exactly the same.

So I recommended you look at it to be sure before ordering it.

Alright, yea I might just have to bite the bullet and pay a taxi to drive me out there and take a look!

Thanks though!
