Help me identify ticking / sputtering! Youtube VID
Hi,
Here is a video of my civic, there is a light ticking (maybe sputtering its hard to describe) noise coming from the engine. The video is at night so you cant see anything, I will try to get a better one. I am leaning in and out of the engine compartmant at the front of the car in the video, that is why it gets louder and quieter. Anyone have any ideas on what the noise is?

Sounds completely normal to me. These aluminum engine aren't exactly quiet.

What problems are you having?

yup sounds like a honda you could try to adjust the valves but it won't get much better.

That's right, the tappets need to be adjusted.
