hello guys, to make a long story short, i got a vibrant performance 3" exhaust for free and wanted to custom fab it into my EM2.


Now the long story is that i loved the sound of my buddy's type-s, and he had a vibrant performance muffler on. He started reverting back to stock recently and i acquired this little thing as a result of doing most (if not all) the work on the car (i/h/e --> stock/stock/stock). as a noob i jumped on the chance to work on a K20 and get some under the hood experience =]

now realistically, idk whether it would just be stupid to put a muffler designed for 3" on my stock... errrr... 1.75" piping. OBVIOUSLY this will take a bit of custom fabbing, but i really want to do some work on my little LX and feel like i accomplished something. i drew out what i want to do, because pictures speak for themselves.

So i ask, whats the public's views on this?

before i get hated on for having a love affair with a k20, i know a D17 will never ever sound like a K.

is that a hole in the muffler ??? idk you can get these new in the correct size for 80 bucks.
