intake filter

i have an ebay intake and i want to upgrade the filter what type of filter design gives me the most gains (i know intake doesnt give that much but if one design gives me an extra 1 or 2 hp i'll take that one) im gonna get K&N or AEM filter but there are so many cone designs which is best?

Re: intake filter

+1 thats all i would consider. flows more than 2x what the civic engine needs and does not use any oil. just clamp it in and clean it every year or whenever it gets dirty. they have a cleaning solution you spray it with, then rinse with water and let it dry. just get a universal size to match your pipe. i have a 3 inch for my weapon-r intake. the dryflow is actually made by K&N, but its much thicker and filters at 99% or higher vs the regular oiled K&N at 92%.

Re: intake filter

K&N and AEM have merged the dryflow filters are now called Hybrid and bare the K&N logo. also AEM doesn't make the cleaning solution anymore K&N does

Re: intake filter

wait so there are no more "race" K&N filters that use cotton gauze and thin oil?

the small ones are plenty.
