Heat wraps for headers???

whats up has anyone ever looked into these heat wraps for headers and exhaust? i was looking for a way to lower engine bay temperatures because i run a short ram intake do to giant floods around here.i dont expect to see a big difference just to hopefully prevent engine wear due to hot air being sucked in the engine

Re: Heat wraps for headers???

jet-hot.com header coating works better, lasts longer, and doesnt cause damage over time like wraps can (if water gets inside and rusts the metal).

All it causes is minor surface rust, I discussed this with the OWNER of a skyline shop the other day. It's also a fraction of the cost.

The even less expensive alternative is BBQ paint or header paint, the $3 can makes a world of difference in itself.
