Unhappy Honda civic 2002 lx problem

Hello everyone!

I have a civic 2002 lx which is causing me some problems. About a month ago the charging system indicator lamp didn't go off. I went to a mechanic who was going to fix the alternator, but when I got the car back it was like there was no power when I try to accelerate or at all. The car is not working like it used to. Now the malfunction indicator lamp is not going off. I changed the alternator with a new one, also spark plugs, but the problem still exists.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Yeah, but unfortunately I'm in a country where this isn't possible.

Thanks anyway!

you can also buy cheap code scanners and read it yourself. i have one off ebay for $40 that works great i keep in the car all the time.

Re: Honda civic 2002 lx problem

i think it was e-tools or something. you just plug it into the port by the gas pedal and it gives you a number. then you look up the number here in that engine codes thread and it tells you what is wrong. leave it plugged in and it will clear the codes too.
