i was just wondering if a throttle body spacer for my 05 1.7l is worth the money

Yup, pretty much, a very good intake might add 2-3whp so imagine how much power a small plate would give by improving airflow by 0.0001%.

If you serious about modding your d17 then consider a d16y8 im swap and upgrading the throttle body to something with a larger diameter, that will actually show gains. Unless your doing an intense build though, even that's not worthwhile.

its good if you like whining noises when pressing the gas, thats about it. some people think it sounds like a supercharger.

its only good if u want a turbo-like spool when you hit the gas.
