No fuel filter?

Might be a stupid noob question....but how come my 2003 Civic EX doesnt have a fuel filter?

It's in-tank. Beck/Arnley makes an aftermarket part that works great (you can get it from RockAuto), but you do have to do some disassembly and reassembly of the pump assembly to get it in.

It's not a conventional fuel filter, it's a strainer, serves the same purpose and it's in the tank like green01civic pointed out.

OK....I firgured it was in the tank, but was still thinking that it would eventually get clogged due to the sediment. Thanks guys!

every 100k miles is the change time, or when fuel pressure drops below spec. i would say if the pressure is fine, no need to change it.

To the best of my knowledge the fuel filter assembly is inside the back of your trunk for a 2003 hONDA CIVIC EX SEDAN. Am I right?

It's under the back seat. Get a new tank cap and gasket. Chances are you're gonna bust the tank cap getting it off.
