Short ram vs Cold air intakes

Im looking for an intake and I wanted to get some opinions. Im not trying to make my car the fastest car on the planet but I'm going to turbo it and just make it a nice show car. Is there a huge difference between the short ram intake and the cold air intake? I'm just not sure if I want to spend the extra 150 for the cold air. I'm also trying to find an exhaust that will be a direct fit and not be loud. I'm only want to hear it when I get on it. And it has to be a direct fit because I'm not a fan of hacking up an exhaust. Any ideas? Thanks for any feedback and im a big fan of this site now.

Re: Short ram vs Cold air intakes

if ur going to turbo it, why bother with a SIR or CAI?

neither SIR or CAI do anything for our car. it is just a mod that consumes ur money and gives u something to install on ur car.

and please search. this topic has been beaten to death.

Re: Short ram vs Cold air intakes

I'm not going to be installing a turbo for a while so for now I was looking into short ram or cold air. I need to save up a bit for the turbo. This can be deleted because I was trying to search on here about there big difference and didn't see any posts relating to what I was looking. *Drunken web searching* Thanks lol
