Those things with the tape on them are relays and/or the alarm controller for the aftermarket alarm you have installed. That's one of the worst looking installs I've seen.

is there anything i can do to fix it? if i got a new alarm system, is that somethin they would "fix" ?

Eh, I actually installed a VTEC light, so I kinda monitor it

It really depends on your throttle, at about 60mph, any slight throttle increase, such as 2mph increase, will activate VTEC

HA! Still doesn't help ya pass at 70mph when you drop it into 4th.
