Alarm problem

My brother just bought a 2000 (or 01, don't know) accord. His alarm will randomly go off by its self. I happens anytime. His doors can be unlocked, locked, windows up/down. No one is near the car when it goes off either. Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening and what I can possibly do to fix this?

Re: Alarm problem

+1 shock sensor is nothing but problems. i finally got sick of the whole thing and ripped all of the alarm out. its not like alarms are good for anything to begin with. a good thief (or me) knows how to silence it in maybe 10 seconds and disable in under a minute. if you do decide to "uninstall" the alarm system, usually you will have to reconnect an ignition wire that was cut for the starter kill. otherwise the car wont start after removing everything. once you learn how it works, you will realize how simple and useless it is.

Re: Alarm problem

i had a question. and this irritates me to death! I have a stock car alarm. The remote for it works fine.. my concern is that if you touch the door lock and push it down with your finger OR lock the door with the auto door lock switch (while the car is off) it turns my alarm on!! i have never ever had a car that does this. And the thing that pisses me off, is ok i accidently pushed it down, it did its little sound, forget about it, then when i shut the door, what happens?! Oh thats right, the ALARM goes off!! ugh! it drives me nuts! it did that today when i was taking the door panel off.. when i put it back on and re-connected the door handle to the switch, i bumped the lock down, and it went beep and alarm was on. finished what i was doin, and as soon as i shut the door BEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP! oh i hate it. ive even considered getting a different alarm system put in bc it pisses me off so bad.

does anyone else have this issue??? and if so, what did you do to fix it??
