You curious what intake sounds like on a 7th gen?
This is my EX coupe with an ebay $25 intake on 4 speed auto.
Sorry it took me so long to go out and record this, but here it is
As you notice, it's not loud until you mash the gas

dont u live in CA?
did u know an aftermarket intake w/o a CARB sticker was $400 in 2008? (and is roughly $600 right now)
2nd offense is about double that.
i was just talking to my gardengrove police friends today about this very topic.

& I have a K&N Sticker on mine, bwahahaha

And they don't have a right to look under your hood, unless you give them reasonable probable cause (You have a riced out car, and crazy exhaust)
Or you let them.
If they ask to look under your hood, say no

because they legally stopped you, they do in fact have the right to look under ur hood.... and (especially) CHP will stop you for speeding a few mph over the limit if they wanted. a fellow member on my local forum just got ticketed 59 in a 55 by chp. Originally Posted by Kennykid2002

and is ur k&N sticker a carb sticker?
im just saying. u know how CHP is now that Brown signed a bill halting their hiring for the next year.
^my point is based on when/if they stop you for whatever reason. (just to make it clear)

They MUST have probable cause to search your vehicle, (based on their experience, based on prior knowledge...etc)
Can they search your car anyways? Yeah
If you tell them that you do not consent to searches, anything they find is fruit of the poisonous tree, and cannot be admissible in court.
I'm not saying, if you were rolling a joint in your car, and your whole car smells like weed, that saying that you don't consent to searches will protect you, because based on the officer's experience, if he can tell that you've been smoking it up, he HAS the probable cause to search your car, and with the probable cause, it IS admissible in court.
And yeah, my K&N is a carb sticker :P
Besides, they don't give me a lot of ****, last time I was pulled over next to an import show, they asked if I had any mods under the hood, i just said
"Dude, this is an automatic"

Which one on ebay did you get? Is it decent/fit nice/worth it?Originally Posted by Kennykid2002

almost makes me want to get an intake. nice video but i just think you wanted to show off your car after you cleaned it lol jk.
Awesome post Kenny(if I can call you that). I remember asking you to do this as a favor and your man of your word!
Its still a toss up for me getting one though. I've been debating on whether to just buy a d17a2 somewhere and learn how to rebuild it. If I do that route I won't have expendible cash to get a SRI. But again, thanks for going out your way to post it!

If you can find a cheap one, it's def worth it, but idk if i can vouch for a $200 intake

wooops.
I was just remembering that you have asked for intakes for the 8th gen... so 7th gen tip: that CAI will not fit auto. SRI will (any) - you might know
- that's just to save me some face

For the record, my AEM V2 made my car sound completely different than when I had a Weapon*R Dragon intake on.

So there is clearance issues with the CAI for autos I'm guessing?

I do believe so, there was another recent thread on it. Have been so many years since i had the auto that i honestly do not remember. Did not do any work on it myslef either... Was too pissed that my left leg lost so much strenght that i learned how to left-foot brake on it.Originally Posted by RemyL31
