Re: cam plug, oil leak
I literally changed mine 2 days ago. Just grab a flathead screwdriver and evenly pry it out. Some oil will come out if the engine is warm have a rag underneath to catch it. Once out just slap a new one in. Easiest oil fix ever.
Re: cam plug, oil leak
You dont have to take it off, but I did to make it easier to clean up the oil that pooled up behind it on the block. If you want to take off the EGR you might as well replace the gasket for it and clean it out with some brake cleaner. Be sure you don't have an emission test coming up, or you will fail it for a few days.
