HID Issue

Quick question boys. One of my DDM HID's doesn't turn on sometimes. This is by chance and I never see it coming. Turn the car on, only the left headlight responds. I unplug the positive and ground DDM connectors and "re-plug" them. It's a temporary fix and is getting kind of annoying. Any ideas?

Re: HID Issue

you wired straight up to the factory H4 harness or through a relay harness?

Re: HID Issue

The factory harness. The ballast isn't on when the light is dead.

Re: HID Issue

Maybe an overheated ballast, or bulb is faulty

Have u tried switching bulbs?

Helps eliminate one or the other

Re: HID Issue

I had the same problem when I had my old kit, where the passenger side wouldn't turn on from time to time, and it was always random. My quick fix was turning of the lights and praying.. lol.

I installed my DDM kit (slim kit) with a relay harness and haven't had that problem since. It could be an issue of the ballast not getting adequate power.

Re: HID Issue

That's what one of my older guru's has been saying lol. Maybe after the holidays I'll get the relays for my DDMs. First I'll try the easy fix though.
