no, in fact even 5w20 can be too thin if you drive in hot weather (80F+). alot of us use 5w30 which is what honda suggests for earlier models. not much has changed with engine technology to require such a thin oil. the hybrids get 0w20 recommendation, and its only to improve gas mileage by 1-2%. its not worth reducing engine life over.

I use Valvoline Maxlife full synthetic 5w30 and it's great, I have no burning at all, plus I know it's good stuff. Sure, it's a pain in the rear to find and cost me like 7 per quart but, I like it
