Lighting - What do you think?

Hey everybody, this is my first post. But I just wanted to see what you guys thought with some of the stuff I've done. I'm new to this stuff, so don't give me crap. I don't know anything about engines, so all my mods are strictly electrical cause that's all i know. Here's some pics.

I just finished installing my HID's yesterday. And the most difficult mod I have is the climate controls. I had to remove all that acrylic plastic stuff used for spreading the light for the old incandescent bulbs and I wrapped white LED strips around each dial and wired it into the bulb contacts. No need to worry about resistors and such since the strips operated at 12V and they pull less current than the incandescent bulbs.

Re: Lighting - What do you think?

Heater ***** - They look great, can you do a write up on how it's done?
Headlights - They look great.
License Plate Lights - Writeup?
Footwell Lights - Writeup?
Reverse Lights - Writeup?
Trunk Lights - Writeup? Looks great. Which lights did you use?
Dome Light - Writeup? Nice.
Cigarette Lighter Modification - Pretty ghetto, looks really bad. I was actually trying to find parts to change mine into a USB port since I never use it for anything else and I have a computer in the trunk.

Re: Lighting - What do you think?

Hey guys, I guess I should have included more links and info. Here's some links to some questions you guys asked. Most of it was just LED replacement bulbs from V-LEDS.com, the only things that required custom work are the climate controls, headlights, footwell lights and the extra cigarette ligher mod.

Also, as long as you have the same car as me, everything linked to V-LED's will be a stock replacement. To find out the bulb codes for your car in specific (that is if you don't have a 7th gen civic) check out this site:

Sylvania Bulb Guide

Heater ***** - I'll get a writeup done for you guys, I used strip light LED's, which can be cut to length.
Headlights - From K2Motor.com also check out SpecDTuning.com
License Plate Lights
License Plate Frame
Footwell Lights - Used blue strip lights from AutoZone (cheapest and brightest I could find), you'd be surprised how much LED stuff AutoZone sells.
Reverse Lights
Trunk Lights
Dome Light
Cigarette Lighter Modification - I think that was my first mod, I mainly did it for functionality, not for looks. The composite connections are for my iPod and the other cig lighter is for whatever. So, ya. haha. I don't really care how it looks, the car isn't gonna last much longer anyways. It's already got 260,000 mi on it.

Re: Lighting - What do you think?

I have a question that is probably going to seem very dumb.... Do the LED bulbs just go right in or do they have to be wired in a certain way? I'm talking about bulbs such as the trunk light, license plate lights, and reverse lights. Thanks! Sorry for being a noob!

Re: Lighting - What do you think?

you can get pnp leds alot of places that will fit the stock sockets but be careful, almost all of em are poor quality and wont last too long. most are only bright enough for park lights. www.v-leds.com, autolumination.com, and superbrightleds.com have em. and ledautomotive.com for interior. and ofcourse ebay.
