Re: Future K20A2 Swap NEED HELP BADD! Type S v.s. Type R
Im in the process of doing a type r k20a swap in my 4 door so if your wondering type s or type r... type r is the way to go more power and lsd closer geared tranny cant wait to get mine on the road engine dynoed at 731 on 32psi boost fully built type r true jdm is the way to go
Re: Future K20A2 Swap NEED HELP BADD! Type S v.s. Type R
Get the k20a2 cause it is cheaper and it is not that much less power from the k20a. And yes with k20a has the lsd but with the money you save you can easily put in lsd in the k20a2 and buy the simple bolt ons for it and be at the same power as the stock k20a.
But it would be even better if you swapped in the k24a2. I know someone that has one and dynoed with just bolt on's and put down 219 whp and 196 trq.
And to swap a k series motor in your basic 7th gen is alot of work. I think it cost around 2k just for the parts to swap it with and thats not including the price of the motor.
