Questions from new member

So glad I finally register. I just had time read through some of great stuff.

I have 02 civic coupe EX. I bought Kazera spring from tirerack.com which is very crappy spring. It lowed my car way too low, I can't even put my finger inside. I have 215/45/17 wheels. It also eat up my tire.

Here's the question. What do I usually need to to in order to lower the car? To prevent my tire being eat up, what do I need? If I buy new spring such Eibach pro kit, do I need to buy strut/shock (stock and feel uncomfortable driving right now), any recommend brand? What else do I need?

So glad I join you guys today.

tien, progress springs kont struts seems to be popular but i would recommend full progress coilovers there well made extremely reliable and are proven also very comfortable at full drop and the best part adjustable . i have seen them for 800 dollars but you can probably find them cheaper . you also need canber kits i would recommend k-sport upper pillow mounts in front and ingalls smart arms in the back followed by a good alignment and you should be golden i would also get 15s or 16s max no bigger.

Thank you lowlife9. I know that coilovers will do good but I was thinking of something cheaper. Will Eibach pro ket and Tokiko blue (I think it's what forums people called, blue color right) would to good together. If I don't use k-sport upper pillow mounts in front, what would happen? And what is the ingalls smart arms for rear? Is it the same with Camber? Did camber come front and rear, or only rear?

Thank you so much for your help. I'm so new to this forum but I'll try to keep up.

i like eibach prokit and tokico blue. very good 1 inch drop all around for a street setup and you dont really have to worry about scraping. ive had the springs for prolly 5 yrs and the shocks for 3 yrs. still good! dont forget camber kit like SPC for front/rear to align the car.

Re: Questions from new member

well how much will the eibach kit and the blues cost in comparison to a good coil over setup that was my dilemma when i was shopping for suspension but i came to the conclusion that the money spent on separate springs and struts i could hsve a good set of coilovers for not much more money. as for the camber kits you can also get a cheaper camber bolt for the front made buy ingals like 25 bucks do some research alot of research before you start spending money.
