Check engine light :( . Error code P0171 - System Too Lean :S Hi guys, so I started my 01 civic and was waiting it to warm up a lil bit.
The engine light came on.
Got it checked , and the error code im gettin is P0171.
Googled it and it says P0171 means System Too Lean .
How do i fix it ???? I heard it might be the O2 sensor but not sure. :S

That code does not necessarily mean that you have to change your o2 sensor, the o2 sensor has its own codes. Although that may be the problem i would check else where first. when engine running lean check for hoses and vacuum leaks. clogged injectors or any where in the fuel system that will prevent it from operating properly. yeah i would also check fuel pressure. maybe even your fuel pump.
