Handling Question
I just bought a DC strut bar and Tein S-Tech lowering springs for my 05 coupe. So far my suspension is stock, other than 17'' rims, and I was just wondering how much of a difference I am going to feel once I install both of these. I'm not expecting it to be dramatically different I was just curious how much improvement I am going to feel. Next on the list is the sway bars! Thanks in advance for your input
Re: Handling Question
not much your on stock dampers so the springs are basically for looks and the strut bar doesn't really do anything for our cars i have a neuspeed and i barely felt a difference at all if any but your best bet is the sway bars they make a huge difference in handling.
Re: Handling Question
I dont know about improvement? With a 1.5-2" drop on 17's and stock shocks/struts - it's gonna get rough. You'll probably blow your shocks in a few months anyway so I'd install all at once. Look in the springs vs coilovers threads.

Re: Handling Question
the springs lower the car 1.3''front and 1.4'' rear, I know the ride will be rough but I don't think it will blown my shocks that fast. With that drop do you still think I will?

Re: Handling Question
Oh and Im playing on getting Progress 27mm front and 22mm rear sway bars. Do you think this suspension set up will be good. I was also looking at getting TANABE Front Under Brace and a Tein rear strut bar.
Re: Handling Question
nice tires are the best thing to change to make your car handle better. super sticky tires on a stock car will handle better than a car with all the possible suspension mods, and crappy tires.
Re: Handling Question
i have heard of possible clearance problems with the rear progress bars and after market exhaust i would look into it unless your keeping the stock exhaust .you could also look into extended ball joints.

Re: Handling Question
if you have a dx, you have no sway bar in the rear. need to get the dezod.com adapter kit to even be able to use a swaybar. its worth it tho, the rear bar makes the most difference.

Re: Handling Question
dezod.com has the adapter. But my question is, will the progress one fit, even with the adapter if i have an axle back? I did a quick search and didn't find an answer. So does anyone have a DX with the progress rear sway kit without any clearance issues?

Re: Handling Question
theres too many factors to know for sure. every exhaust sits slightly different and some might rattle against the bar. progress bar is thicker than stock and rsx, so its possible. you could always have the exhaust hangers adjusted tho.

Re: Handling Question
yeah chances are nothing will rub. some people also wrap some thermotec heat wrap around the swaybar where it comes close to the exhaust.
