Does anyone have a hybrid..? the bodyshop where i go to try to charge me $150 just to install my alarm.. they say its cuz its a hybrid.. so they may charge me more..

im thinking about buying a Viper 5901/7900 on ebay.. and installing it myself.. but is it difficult..? do i need some bypass crap or something else..? im asking because i feel like they're ripping me off some how.. i mean im providing them the darn thing and they're going to charge $150!? thats like almost the price of the alarm itself.. they say its a hybrid so its different.. does anyone with a hybrid 2005 have a viper installed? opinion?

the alarm shouldnt be a problem because the wiring gets completely tied into the harness of the car....under the dash. however, when installing an amp and needing a 12v from the battery there is some resistors and so forth that would need to be used to get the 150+ volts down to 12....

hm.. so your saying the battery in my hybrid has 150+ volt..? i/they have to wire in some resistors to get my battery down to 12 volt..?

are you talking about the battery in the front..? or the battery in the back..?

i dont think the battery in the front has 150+ volt.. because i basically have my HD radio converter box wired directly into it.. 0_0..
