Hi,

Red light blinks when the Engine is off.
I have bought a Civic AT . When i shut the engine off and close the vehical. When i am back i can see that a red light glows. I have see this in many cars. But wanted to know what that is.

I thought that was kind of obvious...

Because the 7th gen doesn't have a security light... unless it's aftermarket.

its probably one of those mystery lights the previous owner installed for who knows what.

This is more then likely what hes talking about. Its just a security feature telling people that your radio has an anti theft device in it.

Anti theft device. Where does it Alarm. When opened does it mean a sound will come.

no if the radio loses power (stolen) it locks out and a code is needed for it to work the same thing will happen if you disconnect the battery.

yea thats what i meant by the alarm light. it just means your stereo is secured. no sound will go off if someone smashes your window or anything.

its the little red light on your stereo. when you lock and arm your car, that light turns on the radio and it means if someone steals it, they cannot use it. it is basically useless, noone wants your stock stereo.

it is good to have though because most people walking past will think it is an alarm.

yup i have one of those mystery light. it turns on everytime i turnoff the car which is good i guess that way people think i got an alarm
