2k to blow

due to another hobby sell off I will soon have 2k of spendable money. I have bills to pay but I could pay them later if the 2k can be spent on somthing good for the 05em2. I am looking for NA add-ons. At this point I have a Type-R ebay lip, and AEM intake, DC5 shift ****, cool blue sylvania's, type_r Red Honda badges, and Ebay yellow fogs. Thats it. I am after that JDM look and I do want type-R rims but that can wait. HP wise what am I looking at?

Re: 2k to blow

The only real bill I have is the car. I was going to dump the money towards my payments all in one shot. I would rather spend it adding to the car though. I don't want to lower the car due to the **** *** roads where I live. I do need to get my front bumper recleared but the rest of the money I would like to use on add ons. Maybe a full catback?

Re: 2k to blow

You won't get much additional power on the D17 engine that you have. If I had 2000 dollars I would do all the required maintenance on it up to that point. With the rest of the money I'd maybe buy a short ram intake, not cold air because you can suck up water. A nice head unit for it, maybe a sub and an amp if you don't want to go suspension. Or you could always get yourself a nice set of wheels but they will not look right unless you lower it.

Do the stranger test... Pretend somebody comes up to you with either 2k in one hand or coil overs in the other... Which would you choose?

Re: 2k to blow

Im running into the same problem with almost the same money. I have crap roads to and almost same wheels as you so im not sure if I wanna get new tires for these or spend a bit more for some 16s.

Right now ive got on the list double din dvd player, custom fit seat covers, bigger battery and maybe alternator, neuspeed strut bar. So mine still has room to grow. Since I know im going to keep the car forever anything is worth the investment im just not sure what will give best bang for the buck. And ya I wanted to get some more HP to but that requires a few grand on these.

See I really don't have intrest in doing anything to my interior right now. I still have two 12's and an amp from my 02 ex sitting in my living room because I'm really not sure I need/want all that base anymore. I do want the head unit(left my old one in the 02 at trade in. stupid move). I do want to finish my lip kit and get some type-R rims. Maybe I'll go with the rims for now. If I lower my car, my lip will get ripped off the first time I drive it. I live in a deadass city in PA with potholes the size of Nebraska every two feet. Depressing

Re: 2k to blow

crower stage 1 (7-14HP @ crank), Stage 2 N/A (14-25HP @ crank), then buy a 2004 RSX Type S ECU and then Hondata Reflash it and use the Hondata Adj Cam Gear... should be around 180HP with those, if you didnt say N/A id say T28 Turbo kit
