EXI vs VTI

I have a 2002 Civic VTI (Chassis: JHM ES8 6 9 0 2 S 203994, Engine: D15Y4 2002283). our local agent doesn't have VTIs. Can someone compare/distinguish between EXI and VTI. It seems VTI is a lesser-known model.
