Exclamation drivers side wheel well creaking? Is this true?

i have 02 civic ex, whenever i slowly brake or turn sharply to my left my wheel well creaks/squeaks...
ive done research and read that it maybe some kind of bushing that needs greasing..ive also read that 02 civic bushings dont have grease joints for a grease gun, but theyre internal...
therefore you have to replace the whole bushing..is this all true?? how much is the bushing approximately?? and is it something i can do myself or do i have to go through dealership and have them rape me for labor?? me and my dad are pretty diy capable, as long as its not something really difficult..

all replies will be thanked!!! Thank you ahead of time

get the energy suspension bushings ( $45 on amazon ). i just put them in today and it wasn't too bad. you def need a press to get them in. a vise won't work. be patient though and follow the instructions. it too me about 45 minutes for both. or you could just buy the complete control arm ( about $150 aa piece )

you might want to check the brake pads. the have a piece of metal on the pads when you buy the and when they need changing it will make a sqeaking or rubbing on the rotar. it is called a tattle tail that tells you they need changing. check on that first. hope thats all thats wrong because brake pads are not too expensive. keep me posted.

Re: drivers side wheel well creaking? Is this true?

This is a common problem on civics, both my 2002 civic and my bros 2005 civic make a creaking/popping noise from the passenger side wheel well. Can somebody write up a diy or at least provide pictures to show us what part needs to be changed and where to get the parts?

Re: drivers side wheel well creaking? Is this true?

take off the rim, get a flashight and around the center of the brake caliper look on the to of the brake pads for a little piece comming off the top of the pad itself. it should bend toward you rotor. if it is about 1/16th of an inch or touching you need to change your brake pads. and if you had the sqealling going on for a long time check your rotor too. all you do is from the middle (with your finger)pass it all the way across it. if it is smooth then its still good.but if it has waves in it you need to have them shaved. a autozone advanced auto parts or a oriely should be able to do it. i think they charge about 7 dollars a rotor. unless you would want to upgrade to a slotted or crossdrilled rotor. then after doing that let me know if the problems still going on. keep us posted.

Re: drivers side wheel well creaking? Is this true?

no its defintely not my brake pads. cause yes i know what your talking about about the change brake pads indicator(the metal piece), i just changed my brake pads like a month ago...and its more of a popping and creaking noise than the noise that the metal piece makes...
