It is like a mini version of the #194/168 wedge base bulbs.

You could cut the socket off and add a short length of wire with a resistor and LED attached. Not sure of the light pattern, you may need to grind the tip. It will also dim with the dash lamps setting.

theres no way a single led will disperse enough light to fill all the positions. and even then you gotta use alcohol on the back to carefully strip off the red or green paint on the back. dont do too much or the front numbers start coming off.

No i just wanted to replace the bulb. i hate the yellownish on the stock ones.

What year is yours? Mine is a kind of greenish glow to it. Pretty good IMO not too much eye strain.

puke green lol. it looks like a mix of yellow and green. i couldnt stand that color. at least the coupes got amber/red.

Is it an 02 civic? And what bulb size? I want blue leds for it.

The bulb is NOT a #74......... it is a #2721 bulb as replacement.
