window tint question

I am thinking about tinting my windows soon, but the limit here is 35% in the back and 50% in the front. I was thinking about getting 35% all the way around, but i don't want to get pulled over. do you think i would be ok if i got 35, or should i just get the legal limit?

also if you guys have any pictures of civics with 35% all around or 50% in the front and 35% in the back, could you post them so i could get an idea of what it might look like?
thanks

Re: window tint question

35 for sure. 50 will look too light. even with the same tint front and back, the front windows will still look lighter because of light shining in from the front windshield.

heres mine 35 all around but also remember it will look different in sun vs clouds. on sunny days it almost looks like no tint and i can see right inside. cloudy days it gets much darker.

Re: window tint question

damn gearbox...that's a clean ES1!!!!

there's really no yes or no answer to if you're going to get pulled over for tinting. i'm from cali and you can't have tint whatsoever on your front windshields...some people have gotten away with it for years and then some get pulled over the next day for it and have to get it removed.

its all about being at the right place at the right time. HOWEVER having a more modified car like saying someone like myself with a kit, drop, loud system, etc etc will most definetly get more noticed and be pulled over compared to someone that looks like the tint came with their "stock" looking car.

good luck in whatever route you choose.

Re: window tint question

Ya, i have 15% in the back and 35% in the front. Im in BC and we arent suppose to have any tint in the front either. Only had it done for about 3 months but no problems so far. one of my buddies though has gotten 8 tint tickets, and but never had to get it removed until this last one cuz he tried to fight it in court so they gave him a VI. lol .

As you can see, u can tell its tinted but no doubt u can see inside. I find mine looks much darker on sunny days and lighter on cloudy days, this is a cloudy day. I personally wish i had gotten both my front and my back darker. And be carful where u go cuz i got lots of little F*ckin bubbles all over cuz of some ******* who did mine

Re: window tint question

tint film is tough, even a pro cant put it on perfectly. i dont have alot of bubbles, but some of the edges are starting to peel and i have some bubble forming too around some of em. its been over 5 yrs tho and it always sits out in the sun. no fade tho.

Re: window tint question

i know alot of people who as dark as they wanted and never really got harrassed, just depends on the cops in your area, remember though, the darker you go the harder it is to see out of at night. i had friends that went 5% all around and couldn't see crap when backin up or changin lanes
