Dent Removal
Dent Removal
Have any of you done any dent removals yourself? I've got one about the size of my knuckle above the drivers side rear tire (quarter panel area).
I've seen some vids on youtube and stuff about using a heat gun and then Canned air (upside down to spray Co2). The effect cooling the metal down instantly makes it contract and pop out.
The other way was using a heat gun and then DRY ICE method. Was going to try, but looking at DIY ideas first.

Re: Dent Removal
ive never heard of any of those methods actually working. when you goto the dent shop, they use metal tools to pop it from the back and reshape as much as possible. it will never pop completely back out because the metal is already bent.

Re: Dent Removal
The problem is the metal is already bent, so your just going to switch it from convex to concave, or vise versa. That method wouldnt work for such a small area anyways, you need a much larger dent.
Re: Dent Removal
From where the dent is located it is not reachable within the inside. I tried. There's another panel on the inside fender well just at the point where this dent is that cannot be accessed.
I tried the idea I posted and didnt work too well. I may go after the glue pull next. OR just have the guy who painted all my stuff ptu some filler over it...sand, paint, clear..

Re: Dent Removal
Your best bet is to have it pulled out by a sent remover. If it's a deep dent that will take alot of filler and might crack over time.
Better to pay and pull it out.
I had a couple of dents on my car and had a guy pull them out using special tools
Charged me 40 for the first dent and 15 for additional ones.
cost me 70 in total.
