Re: Brake pads

Hawk Pads have become really common replacements for our civics. I personally went to Midas and i think they still are having some kind of deal across the country where its a lifetime warranty on brakes i think for a really low price and they slap on OEM pads. OEM pads lasted me a looong time but EVERY driver is different so thats why getting a lifetime warranty was good in case ur the driver that likes to ride the brakes alot lol.

I also went with upgrading the front rotors at the time since if ur going to take the time to upgrade / replace a portion of ur setup you might as well get the surrounding areas as well. Brembo drilled and slotted rotors with OEM pads make my civic stop on a dime.

Re: Brake pads

i almost bought some but decided to wait since i still had lots of pad left. i did get the wagner shoes for the rear. its a pretty good brand comparable to oem. i havent used ceramics tho as pads, some say they are quieter and less dusty but that they dont stop as well as the oem semi metallic. so idk what to think.

Re: Brake pads

thanks, i guess its a matter on whats important to me as less noise sacrificing a bit of stoping power and vice-versa. but i,ll say they work pretty good on everyday driving conditions when they only overheat is in my trip back from college in wich im going downhill most of the 2hr trip. And even tho they are overheated they work but only increasing breaking distance to 3-4 feet. (of course the cause of the overheating may be my driving tho)...
