Where to buy OEM Parts?

Hey everyone. This is my first post here. I'm looking for a reasonable place to buy actual Honda parts online. I don't have a dealer near where I am.

Right now what I'm looking for is brake pads for the front. Do the Honda brake pads last a long time or does anyone have a recommendation for a different brand? I haven't taken it apart yet but I don't see any grooves in the rotors and I'm guessing I'll be able to re-surface them and keep going.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to buy OEM Parts?

yup good site for parts, the cheapest. as for the oem pads, they are semi metallic and decent quality, but they make a ton of black brake dust. you may want to consider a good quality ceramic pad if you like to keep a clean car, but they will have a bit less stopping power. rotors usually will not need turning, and generally you can change pads twice before the rotor needs to be changed. you need to allow maybe 400-500 miles of city driving with normal braking to ensure the pad and rotor surfaces mate properly. so drive carefully after you first change the pads, because performance will be terrible until they break-in.

Re: Where to buy OEM Parts?

Thanks for the advice guys. I've got the pads ordered.

This car is the grocery getter for the farm. Since I live on a farm, dirt really isn't something I try to avoid so much so I went with the stock ones. Thanks again for all the info.
