auto to manual conversion

hey there, me again...

the guy i bought my 99 civic from blew the original engine, and replaced it with a jdm d15b sohc(vtec) engine.i'm considering converting it from automatic to manual. i can get almost all of the mechanical pieces i need, are there any electrical components or issues that i should kno about? because like i said "i'm considering". Is it worth the hassel? the transmission is acting up, and to repair it, if that's wat it needs, would involve taking it out anyway.

Re: auto to manual conversion

well first off you're posting in the wrong section. this is for the 7th gen model civics (01-05). try posting in the 6th gen section and they'll probably know more/reply to your topic.

i heard its a very costly and tedious process to swap the trannies. people say you're better off just buying a manual car. just my 2 cents
