Crash....Need Info

Hey guys,

Well the worst has happend and i've had a small smash, (hit a wall at a bout 15mph)

Long story short, the road had diesel all over it and i hit the only pot hole that had filled with it so i then skidded half a mile down the road, like i was on ice and promptly mounted a curb on full lock and hit the wall

Anyways my questions, the car is drivable but my steering wheel has moved about an inch to the left but tracking is fine and car still drives straight... could this be something bent? i.e steering rack.... or what my tyre shop said has the steering wheel just mis-alligned and slipped a notch he said he could straighten it easy?
Also i am taking the car to get done at a local body shop (really good) and he said if anything is bent he'll inspect and fix everything thats needed

Also more importantly... i've bought new bumper, grill, headlight and i need to know what those crumple zone things are behind the bumper... the ones that bolt on and off.
i also need to know is there anything i should check for bends other then the obvious? i mean chassis looks true and all steering arms and so on look good but i might be missing something.

Cheers guys apprciate this loads.

Tom

p.s if you read this foos/baron then my turbo project is now on hold due to the most likely costly repair on the D

Thats like asking your house painter also fix your foundation. Take it to get an alignment, then take it to the body shop to fix everything else.

Re: Crash....Need Info

I agree sounds like an alignment issue
