Hand Break Q!

i have 2005 civic coupe si and i just bought a momo hand break and boot and was wondering how to get the stock hand break off. the shop i bought the stuff from said it should just twist off or i might have to heat it up cuz it might be held on by glue or something, so just wondering if anyone has removed there hand break before to put an aftermarket one on and how they did it.

the grey protion of that hand break is seperate to the rest if the black portion. remove the center console then remove the little greyish piece and the rest should come out. i have a 01 and thats how i did mine

Re: Hand Break Q!

at least for my 02, the hand brake is all one piece. and its listed from honda as being the complete piece as well. i dont see how any of it can come apart twisting or pulling i tried everything
