Driver's Side Motor Mount Replacement
Driver's Side Motor Mount Replacement
My drivers side motor mount needs to be replaced (which explains the unusual vibration I've been having). I spoke with someone at the dealership and they said that it's tied in with the ABS system. Here's my question: How hard is it to replace myself, and is it really involved with the ABS (I tend to think not)?
inb4: use the search (I already did and couldn't find it)

Yeah I had a tech show me what they were talking about. The ABS unit is in the way of a bolt so I just have to unbolt it and move it out of the way to get to it. Apparently the driver's side mount is filled with fluid and mine burst
. I just bought a new mount ($65, thanks employee discount) and plan on installing it this weekend. Ill try to put together a nice DIY since I couldn't seem to find one any anywhere on the internet.

Yeah, I did it this past Saturday and it would have been easy except for this one bolt that was blocked by the ABS system. It took me 1.5 hrs to get to it, besides that it was a breeze to take the old one out and put the new one in. I did a coolant flush while I was down there, and washed and waxed it. Took about 4 hours total and now my Civic looks and feels brand new.
