Ebay headers and driftspec exhaust
Hey guys, so i was thinking about some quick bolt on power and i came across this on ebay while searching for "header back."

Anyways, I know the exhaust is a megan and the headers and downpipe are no name brand, but at around 500 for a complete header back i dunno if i'd regret spending it later.

Re: Ebay headers and driftspec exhaust
Here's another question... Would I need a mid-pipe section to make an exhaust completely new? Say if I were to have a New header and downpipe and then a cat back.... I'm thinking I'm about to answer my own question and say NO. But feel free to give me the right answer everybody. Or just a response in general would be nice.
Re: Ebay headers and driftspec exhaust
First things first...10-16 horsepower? Not likely. Try about 5. And I'm not sure if that is a catalytic converter or just another resonator, but it would be better with a cat. You will trigger the check engine light...granted there are ways around it. I hope you like scrubbing the black from your rear bumper though.
Oh, and that muffler. Total Rice-a-roni.
Personally, I wouldn't buy it.

Peep the exhaust FAQ in my sig, I think I reviewed that exhaust system fairly throughly just after the first post for a member. In short, its crap.
Re: Ebay headers and driftspec exhaust
Bro if you are going to buy an ebay exhaust.. go Tenrai... its not too loud. Its only loud when you floor it.. and it sounds gorgeous.. I have it and love it.. ive had it for 2 years now no rust no bs.. its sounds clean. no rice at all. here is the link

i had looked over that review when i first joined. it didn't click that it was the same thing i was looking at. haha. yeah i'd definitely want a cat as to sound less farty... and definitely want something quieter than that tenrai exhaust. I think i'm just gonna get an exhaust from an EX somewhere around here and put a high flow cat of some sort on it. How's that sound?

Re: Ebay headers and driftspec exhaust
I suggest you just do the intake and exhaust first, and leave the stock cat in the ex downtube... get a feel for what its like after a few months, and then switch to a RT high flow cat and downpipe- you'll actually feel the difference instead of looking around wondering how much power each one gave you.

Re: Ebay headers and driftspec exhaust
all ebay stuff is crap unless you buy named brands, dc sport, mugenpower, spoon etc.......... if you want to waste your money and **** your car up go and pimp it from ebay, but if you want real performance and street cred buy legit ****
