painting the lip

i just got my mugen front lip this week, now i want to know couldnt i just paint it my self if i sanded it? and use krylon plastic fusion? i m not trying to be cheap but i just think it would work just as well

Yes you can do it I DIY painted my sides and they came out well. All you gotta do is get some very fine grit sandpaper, sand the lip, hit it w/ paint adhesion promotor(for best results), 5 coats of basecoat, and 5 coats of clearcoat and your done..

I got all my stuff minus the sandpaper at www.automotivetouchup.com gl

ok thanks...i actully got all my stuff from home depot rustolem primer base and clear gonna start workin on it 2morrow hopefully it turns out well

thats wat i used...it came out prefect except i touched it too soon!!! so i got fingerprints all over and have to start all over again

so if your buying a lip from an online store and it's already primered to go you dont have to sand it down or anything right? All you have to do is paint it and clearcoat it?

yeah but mine had scratches so i wetsanded it down and primed it and paint and clear
