rear speakers

i just got some infinity kappa 692.9i and im going to install them. for any of you that have them, you know that they come with a little terminal harness thing that takes a positive/negative wire. i noticed that the stock speakers are connected with a harness and will unclip...how did you guys connect that to your new speakers? did you cut the harness off and then feed the positive and negative wires into the new speakers?

Re: rear speakers

You can either buy the adapter that goes from the adapter to go to the positive negative or just cut the wires and wire in the supplied wires. I would just cut the wires.

Re: rear speakers

ok well im taking it that all of the aftermarket speakers will take just bare wires like these infinitys do?

if thats the case then yea ill cut it. i just dont want to run into the problem of changing speakers one day (if i ever decide to) and need that harness again, but if its only for the stock speakers, its np because ill never use those again.

Re: rear speakers

i just wrapped bare wire around the actual speaker terminals. using the spade connectors, i got bad static cause they would always jiggle and get loose. you will never go back to stock speakers, NEVER.

i guess that since that harness is only good for the stock speakers, ill just get rid of it. i know i wont ever put them back in because if i ever change speakers again, it will be to other aftermarkets. thanks guys
