Re: Complete overhaul

no tint, get rid of halos and do BOH, keep oem tails or get 04-05 ones, carbon trunk to match hood and lip, side skirts to flow front lip into rear bumper since you didn't mention a rear lip

and for God's sake, do not do anything else before you LOWER IT!!!

Re: Complete overhaul

Lowering it does not mean you have to slam it to the ground. You can go with a 1.5" drop and still be able to clear most everything just fine. It will make the car look muuuchhh better as well. I'm lowered 1.5" on Tokico Blues and Tein S-Tech springs and I have no problems with clearance - this includes inclines and speed bumps. The best part is my Civic no longer looks like I'm 4x4ing it!

Re: Complete overhaul

1 x HP Tokico Blue Shocks (Front) - $257.80
1 x HP Tokico Blue Shocks (Rear) - $137.06
1 x Tein S-Tech Spring (Set of 4) - $206.95
--------------------------------------------
Total (minus shipping) - $601.81

These were brand new parts ordered from ProCivic.com. You will no doubt be able to find these parts around for cheaper but I like to buy brand new and felt comfortable ordering from ProCivic. I did the install myself so there were no labor costs. After the install you will need to take your car in for an alignment. My alignment was about $60 at the Honda dealership.

Re: Complete overhaul

The install was not that hard. I just followed the spring install diy here on the forums and finished it in an afternoon.

Re: Complete overhaul

strut install is a breeze. i think i got my shock/struts of ebay for ~$400 brand new, in box, never opened. the hardest thing i had to worry about was the bolts in the rear were so rusted, it was like they were welded on. i used an air compressor at 40, 80 and 120 psi before it failed on me and still nothin. took me and my brother like 2 hours with a 6 foot "tourque wrench" (wrench with 6 ft poll, lol) and a can of wd40. so just heads up.

Ouch... I know how you feel Sic! For me it was the front passenger brake line bolt. A simple little 12mm bolt but damn was it a bee-otch to get off! Ended up rounding off the head by trying all manner of wrenching and chiseling. Eff'd that bolt up but finally got it out with a massive breaker bar, wd40, and a special socket for gripping rounded bolts.

hit up TrueHonda.com or Dezod.com. both are site sponsors and i'm sure both will have a suspension package priced so you can work with it.
