OEM side skirt clips. i know they are rare..
Hey everybody
I ve got a Blue EL 1.7 and im looking for 3 of the OEM clips for the underside of the skirt. I know they are rare and you can't generally buy them unless you get the skirts. I found a couple posts from like 6 years ago but i thought I would throw it out here again. If anybody as some in relatively good condition I would like to buy them off you...
OR if there something else out there that works I'd appreciate the suggestion. I thought about taking them to some metal smith and seeing if he could make some but that sounds like effort. How did Honda go wrong not making these things for replacement parts. oh well. Thanks in advance.

no idea...
this isnt probably the answer youre looking for, but if you really want to hold them up and in place, or if theyre sagging at all...you could drill a small hole in the bottom of the sideskirt on the inside and use a small nut/washer/bolt to hold it in place. if you placed the bolt pointing upward from underneath (so that you cant see any of the bolt except the flat head) and threaded the nut from above (it would be easy access for your hand), you wouldnt see anything unless you were completely under or below the car. nobody would ever know the difference and it would save you a big headache/search.
i had to drill 6 small holes spaced apart in a row on each of my sideskirts to mount my underglow properly and you could never tell they are there until you get right under the car.

Yeah I have called most in Edmonton and that's how i got the 3 new ones i currently have. I will most likely look at devising some sort of wing nut/bolt combo.. but thanks for the suggestions. Maybe some more views will bring something up.. thanks

those clips suck. two of mine just fell off, and another the bolt stripped by itself and it loosened making a terrible rattle it took me months to figure out. i used that metal weld putty from permatex and so far it is still holding!

same stuff you used to do your retrofit?
does it dry hard? or rubbery like silicone?
what if you wanted to take them off at some point...could you do it with that stuff on there?
