Maint. Req'd. Light flashing..What's it mean?

Recently when I get in and start my car the maintenance required light has been flashing, what does that mean and what do I need to do? Oil was changed about 500 miles ago, so what else could that be? Thanks.

Doesn't mean anything. It comes on at certain intervals. It's annoying. There's a simple way to make it go away. I just can't remember how...sorry.

to turn it off.. do the following

From key off position
Push and hold the trip button in
Turn key to accessory position where the gauges light up
Wait about ten seconds until the MRL goes out
Turn off key
