boost on stock?
i was thinking about boosting my car (02 ex in the states or si in canada) and had a couple questions that i couldnt find through searching the forums.
right now i've got 2.5 inch piping and my exhaust done and a short-ram intake. thats pretty much all i have for mods so far. if i want to add some boost (lets say something like a t25/28 turbo w/ front-mount intercooler)...how well would it work on a pretty much stock engine?
My purposes aren't really to add a massive amount of power or to go to the racetrack, that isn't really my intention...i just want a little bit of an extra kick, you know? (like maybe beating a van when the light turns green without pinning my gas haha.)
if i were to get this all done at a local shop, what would be a good boost setting to go for when running a kit on a completely stock motor? does 5-6 psi sound right? would 7 psi be too much? i know the guys at the shop would have their own recommendations, but a lot of you guys have experience which is just as important....its my only car and if i boost it i dont want to risk screwing things up and having to replace stuff.
thanks.

Re: boost on stock?
sub'ed.
I'm interested to know as well. I mean I was thinking k24 swap to be more reliable, but what about the minimal 7psi of boost? and what about tuning? or what should you upgrade in the stock motor at least as a MUST do?

Re: boost on stock?
^Yep.
I hit 220 whp on 7 psi with the turbo I'm selling right now. Granted, that's with k pro and stg 3 cam, but it's doable.
For everyone that keeps saying they want to boost, I have damn near a whole kit for sale. Made great power and everything still works tip top. Plus I'm not asking much at all.
