the projectors suck for output and i dont think they are even legal. my aftermarket cheapie foglights work better than those. and with hid, i think it will look even worse. dont bother unless you plan to swap out the projector assembly with something better (which is easy to do).

the ones i look at say DOT approved, but i don't know. I like how they look i just want some that WORK good too. Are there any out there that actually do work pretty well?

Re: ebay projectors, good or not?
i can put a dot stamp on anything. i guarantee you they did not get an actual D.O.T. approval because it costs alot of $$ for them to have it certified. every aftermarket lamp ive seen failed to meet minimum oem standard of light output in independent testing. the stock headlights are actually the brightest ive used out of all the aftermarkets out there. projectors and oem "style" lights included.
if you want a light boost, go type in "catz zeta" in ebay and buy one of those kits. it comes with ballasts that connect to the stock 55w bulbs and basically it will boost the voltage from the stock 13-14v to over 15v which makes each bulb over 500 lumen brighter. its like having a third headlight on your car. i actually still use the kit in my fog lights now that i have hids for my main beam. the halogen fogs with catz zeta is bright enough to drive on the road at night without headlights.
