Holy batman thats bright. Hopefully you don't blind anybody. The cut off is not so nice but maybe you can adjust them a bit and aim them lower.

the aim looks good i think, maybe some lower exposure shots cause its kinda hard to see through the blob. its not gonna be perfect tho using those projectors.
Re: HID in TYC Projectors - PICS!
well, i took out the HIDs... after taking it on the highway and realizing that it was dimmer than my old setup (HIDs in stock housing), plus you can see the reflections of the lens in the beam...
I'm looking to do a retrofit into these projectors though... any suggestions on which projectors I should find (TL, BMW, etc.)?

i would go with the bmw E46 bosch single xenons. they are very nice projectors, some of the smallest available and should be easy to fit. you could also run a 50w ballast to boost the output even more. but even stock 35w is great. im really happy with mine.

I had a whole thread on this before I started posting more on 8thcivic.com. Those E46 projectors are nice, and the valeo's I have in my TYC's are just fine. The longest stage of my retro was actually baking the glue. Now I have to re aim them because I ****ed up the passenger side, but if you have a good wall and time, you can do it in one night with the TYC's I promise you this. Just buy the amp to d2s converter cable for your hid kit and you will only have to buy bulbs and you can use the balasts that came with your kit.
Re: HID in TYC Projectors - PICS!
Hey Gearbox, where can I find those E46 projectors? I found some on ebay, are those the right ones? and E46 takes D2S bulbs correct? so I can just get a D2S HID kit right?
haha, alot of questions, thanks guys!

just be smart how you mount them. make sure they wont get hot and fall off into the headlight and melt through the plastic. and use a new relay harness with thicker wire instead of the stock one which can melt from the hid ballast.
e46 can be found on ebay i believe, post a link and ill see if they are the right ones.

TYC's have independent highbeams, so your set as long as the projector of the TL's doesnt spill over so much that it blocks the highbeam.. Without looking up specs, I'd say you dont have anything to worry about. Double cross the diam of the TL's with the diam of the TYC's.. if its bigger, check it with the A6 projectors- those are huge and have been retro'd by my buddy a few years back.

Re: HID in TYC Projectors - PICS!
TL is huge man. i tried and failed to retro into oem lights. and threw the light away as a result. i barely got e46 projector to fit and thats the smallest one you can get. the key is, what can you fit inside AND make it look good. you can fit a TL in no problem, but you may not be able to aim it and it will look terrible because there is no way to shroud it up without looking weird. it also has the solenoid on the bottom and needs a big hole to sit in without touching anything
