LX - EX swap, vtec ?

I did the swap last summer, just watching videos and listening to other civics when the vtec kicks in it sounds louder and meaner than mine. Is this normal?, I am using the AFC neo to run the vtec but i don't see how it wouldn't be exactly the same, any comments?

Re: LX - EX swap, vtec ?

your Apex-i AFC NEO is fighting with you ECU and the ECU is winning.

Your ECU is relearing...

in other words its not the same tune it was the first day you tuned it...

the VAFC's, NEO's are bad piggie backs...

trust me i have the VAFC2.

Re: LX - EX swap, vtec ?

so if possible, it would be better to use the vtec harness and the ex ecu (for complete engine swaps) ? but if i did that would i need my keys reflashed?
