So i was wondering which do you think is better.

smoked head.tail lights. or cleared head/ tail lights?

i ahve a black ciic so im thinking smoked would look cool?
opinions would be nice.

i think you should do a couple of other mods first and then decide what to do with your headlights.

You'll want to do reversible things like a lip kit and rims first, and then lastly I suggest painting or clearing your headlights to match the rest of your scheme.


and to answer your question, i think smoked headlights/taillights make a car look cheap.

Smoked tails look hot.
You pulled over on the side of the road with red and blue flashing lights behind you = not.

But heres some comfort...this is what smoked tails look like on my ride (before I got LED tails)




Or you can have those LEDs....

i like the smoked headlights on the black car as long as the area behind the amber is left chrome, so it stands out more. I like the smoked rears on some cars, it depends on the theme. i second the notion that you go ahead with some other mods before deciding on what to do with your headlights and taillights. its a tough call.

some smoked tint job look like crap.. like the sedan above.. ive seen other jobs that look much glossier and cleaner and overall better.. black out ur heads if u want the smoked look... tails.. meh i duno.. harrassment from cops.. and u run the risk of not having it look good.. depends on where u get it done.. how u get it done.. some tint jobs look awesome.. others..not so much

my car is black sedan so im thinking smoked would look better because it would be black and black. but have u ever seen any black sedans or black civics with cleared headlights and tailights.

Front of car = headlights
Rear of car = tailights

Which one are you looking to tint- there arent headlights on the back of the car.

As Dseven said... Most of the tint jobs you see are done by people that went over board with the tint can, which makes it end up looking like crap.

FYI - Its illegal in most states, and also hazardous.
