Aftermarket Projectors

Hey all,

I'm looking into buying some TYC aftermarket Projectors... But since our stock headlight harness is H4, how would you convert it to separate the hi and lo beams into 9006/9005 bulbs (or H1's)? and is this hard to do?

Thanks peeps!

Re: Aftermarket Projectors

it should already come converted on the headlights. my friends headlights came with a plug for his stock harness for his f-150 and from the harness they powered each light properly there should be no modification involved.

Re: Aftermarket Projectors

I think you guys are confusing HID with Xenon bulbs. To run true HID projectors, you need a whole lot of stuff to convert the light assembly. Bulbs, projectors, ballasts, and so on, plus a bunch of custom fab and cutting of the light housing. It's not a matter of just switching a bulb.
