Problem... I removed my Cat from my 01 civic some time ago. Now in order to get a pass to get on and off base they want me to smog check it... its reg. in Washington but im Stationed in Can Diego.... and to clerify im screwed huh?

You need a CA smog check just to get DOD decals..?
I didn't have to for mine.. just license, registration, and mil ID..

go find a pick-n-pull down in san diego, find a junked civic, grab the cat off that, install to pass smog, replace with whatever you got when you're done.. Or you can find someone that's selling their stock downpipe or exhaust mani (if you ahve an ex or dx/lx, respectively) and buy it off them and use it for emissions purposes

oh yea btw. im a smog tech and im kinda confused about wat your saying. so you need a smog check in order to get that decal to go in and out of base?

Im a marine outta Miramar San diego. and i cant jus put a cat, they cut and welded a straight pipt from the down pipe to the cat back...stupid i know. And yes they want a smog check jus for the DOD sticker
