Cleaning Headlights

I tried using an off brand generic plastic cleaner to get rid of the yellow buildup on my oem headlights. "Generic" was my first mistake. It worked, somewhat. It got some of the buildup off but on my passenger side headlight it left about a 2"x2" white mark. Not white like paint or anything. It just looks really hazy. Is there any way to fix my screw up? It didn't scratch into the plastic or anything. I think it was just a crap product or my retarded *** that messed it up. It doesn't seem like a hard fix, I just don't know what to use.

Re: Cleaning Headlights

I got a prod off line to clean my headlights from the yellow hazy stuff too, it took 3x to apply it, but i finially got it going godo when i used medium grit sandpaper and wetsand the headlights w/ the prod and then thoroughly clean it up w/ the sealer... it came out better than it was before so wetsanding it might really help out... i dont know what type of cleaner you use, but i really think any kind would work, just take multiple application and wetsanding it depending on how badly a damage your headlights are...

hope that helps

AutoZone = PLAST X (black bottle) $6.99 or less. Perfect

However, if your headlights are too foggy .. time for ebaying a new one :-)
