collided with an suv at about 3 mph and her bumper / tow hitch steel killed my hood and bent the upper radiator support frame rail (#2 in this pic) because she was so much higher than me... my car is perfect mechanically, just looks like ****. No damage to her car, and we both just said "f-it" and didn't report.



Does anyone know a shop in SoCal that would just do the welding and frame pull? my uncle has a radiator shop that i can use, so I want to disassemble the radiator, body pieces, etc, to where the body shop can work on it then have triple-A haul the car out to the shop to just do the frame pull (1cm at most, seriously) and weld the piece back on. AAA picks back up, drop off at my uncle's shop and I can do the rest.

however, every shop i've gone to has said 'nope, we will do the whole job or nothing... anyone know someone in SoCal that would do it? i can pay cash :-)

the problem is that most shop don't want to deal with possible consequences if they just do the specific job (like be responsible if say something happens to the car afterwards, in terms of drivability & legality of the vehicle).

but yeah, going the cash route might help. good luck?

what part of socal are you at? if your near simi valley there a shop that do it, they have done alot of simple work for me. its called city auto body right behind the kia dealership on easy st. i dont see why those shops are being gay like that, My friend crash his truck and could only do a little at a time because of the money it was like 5000 in damage and they just welded his frame the first visit and did all the other work in parts over time for him and they knew he was taking it some where else for some of the work too.
