Need Advice on Exhaust system
Im planning to get an EXHAUST job done this Summer. I have 2options and im a bit confused which way to go.
Before you go on to the options, I wanna let you know that I hate Mufflers for their sounds... I only need em for perfomance and I hate cars with loud *** mufflers.
I love the sound of my V2 intake which sounds like a STOCK car when im cruising on the highway at RPMs below 3000. and I also love it when i hit the redline while starting at the green light or under Bridges
(not to forget reving in the 5 story parking building on campus
)Im happy with the sound of the intake and i just want it till that.
Option 1) Complete Exhaust system with down pipe by GREDDY
$580. Installed
Option 2) Custom Stainless steel downpiping from local body shop with a Universal Muffler tip with Silencer
$170. Installed
The second option might seem cheap to many of you, but the only reason im considering it is because what does brand name actually have to do with AIR EXITING the engine ???
think about it and please tell me what to do !
Thanks !

Re: Need Advice on Exhaust system
if u install a downpipe no matter what its gona be pretty loud still
even with a silencer itll still be louder than any intake. greddy also isnt the quitest exhaust on the market. You can get the catback rs-r exmag which looks kind of stock, sounds kinda like your intake description but deeper and outflows most ehxaust systems...um...rememebr about the downpipe thing. deleting ur cat will alwyas make it louder.. jus some fyi
